Originally, the Top 10 Scenic Drives in the Northern Rockies existed only as a dream to brand and promote one of the world’s most beautiful destinations. A consortium of area businesses, along with civic and governmental organizations, joined together to make this dream a reality. Patterson/Bach was selected to build the Top 10 Scenic Drives brand identity.
Starting from scratch, Patterson/Bach has created every element of the brand, including its centerpiece—a colorful destination map that allows visitors to explore and enjoy all the Top 10 Scenic Drives have to offer. The map is highlighted by eye-catching photos and valuable information that gives a tantalizing overview of each drive.
“The map is a crucial branding piece because it defines the Top 10 geographical area and connects the drives, so visitors may enjoy the entire experience and not just its individual parts,” said P/B President Tim Bach. “With the map in hand, visitors can get excited about the Scenic Drives and actually imagine being there.”
The Top 10 map was introduced at the 2010 Winter Olympics, where copies were distributed to travel media. More than 30,000 maps have been printed for distribution throughout the Top 10 Scenic Drives in anticipation of a banner year for regional travel and tourism.
